President Rodrigo Roa Duterte
President of the Philippines
Malacañang Palace, Manila
Dear Mr. President,
Greetings from Vigan City, Ilocos Sur. This letter is addressed to the Philippine President, Mr. Rodrigo Roa Duterte. I have been supporting your administration since day one, sir. From the first months of you seated on the presidential chair, I was always astonished on how you handled the project you first implemented; the "Oplan Tokhang". It was all a bliss, and the good connection with other investors from different countries added up to boost the country's economy. It all has been improving but then among all of the success, different inhumane activities were down the path, as how many innocent lives were put to waste and how you degraded the name of the Lord.
Extra-judicial killings has been a worldwide issue since killings were started happening in the Philippines last September 2017. The Philippines was busy with the "war on drugs" campaign that they didn't had time to notice the killings happening along the way. Many innocent lives were spared just so a criminal could be caught. An average of 2 lives are wasted just to give justice to one criminal mind. I am not telling that we shouldn't give much importance with these issues about drugs. But please let us be much more educated in accordance to giving people's lives a precious way to be spent. Human Rights should and will always prevail. Another issue about you sir, is when you degraded the name of the Lord and called him "stupid".
I do respect your opinion as how it should because of the freedom of speech. But labeling God, the creator of every little thing in the world 'stupid' is a big arrogance for a President like you. I'm stating all of these out of my league but then again I just wanted to speak out my opinion as someone who there by lives in the premises of the Pearl of the North.
Sincerely yours,
Alexia Les Reintegrado
