Jingling bells, smiles and laughters, tall christmas trees, twinkling lights, huge lanters, bunch of foods, bundles of gifts and Santa Claus — all of these are awaited when Christmas season approaches, but what really is the essence of this season?
"Merry Christmas" - the greeting we mostly use during december holidays. The essence of celebrating this is all about the birth of our saviour, Jesus Christ. This season is said to be all about giving but we need to remember that the word giving doesn't necessarily mean about gifts and money. Sometimes, love given to the people around could just be the best and greatest gift they'll ever receive. This season is said to be all about love and yes it totally is. Gift and love comes together. LOVE - the most powerful gift you could offer to someone. We are too full of different perception about this annual holiday but the real essence of this season is the love of God to us that made him sacrifice his only begotten son Jesus Christ for all of us sinners.
It really is nice hearing "Merry Christmas" greetings but wouldn't it be better of together with that, we say: "Happy Birthday Jesus; Thank you Papa God!" as to remind everyone what the genuine meaning and real essence of Christmas is? Yes, yes it is.
